About Founder:

Kasturi Barman Roy, an Electronics Engineer by education, embarked on an inspiring entrepreneurial journey. Her passion for design began in childhood, with school notebooks filled with fashion sketches during breaks. She also had an inclination towards painting and performing arts. As she raised her family, her creative fire burned brighter, leading her to establish the designer brand “Mriganavi.” The name itself, inspired by the Musk Deer’s fragrance, evokes a wild and captivating environment. Kasturi’s thorough engineering background fueled her research into printing and weaving technology. She explored weaver villages across Bengal, collaborating with artisans to develop unique handloom textile designs.

Brand Journey:

Mriganavi’s journey began from a tiny store on Cornfield Road in Ballygunge, Kolkata in 2008. Over time, we have evolved into a beloved women ethnic wear brand, winning hearts in Kolkata and presently have stores in Lake Mall, Avishar Shopping Mall and Gariahat.

Mriganavi Creations uses traditional methods of weaving, dyeing, and processing. Our collection includes ethnic sarees, kurtis, and other women wear. We’ve won the hearts of discerning customers, not just in Kolkata but across India. The appreciation for our brand extends to NRIs abroad and foreign visitors exploring India.
